Locations Hiring: Florence, AL | Gurley, AL | Birmingham, AL | Montgomery, AL | Roswell / Alpharetta, GA

Are you a reliable and skilled handyman who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and looking their best? Popeyes is looking for dedicated Maintenance / Handyman Technicians to join our team! Multiple positions are available across Alabama and Georgia.

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play an essential role in ensuring our restaurants are safe, clean, and in top condition for both guests and team members. This position focuses on light maintenance and cosmetic repairs - the perfect fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities include:

Replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and damaged floor tiles

Repairing or re-grouting floor and wall tiles to maintain a clean, professional look

Replacing or touching up baseboard tiles and trim as needed

Performing minor drywall repairs and patching small holes

Painting touch-ups and light painting projects throughout the restaurant

Pressure washing building exteriors, sidewalks, and drive-thru areas

Cleaning or replacing HVAC filters and performing minor vent cover maintenance

Repairing or adjusting door hinges, handles, and door closers

Performing small carpentry or woodwork tasks, such as repairing baseboards, wall guards, or decorative design strips

Caulking and sealing areas around sinks, countertops, and windows

Assembling or securing furniture and fixtures as needed

Performing routine facility walk-throughs to identify maintenance needs

Reporting larger issues (such as HVAC, plumbing, or equipment repairs) to management

Qualifications:

General handyman or light maintenance experience required (restaurant or retail experience a plus)

Basic knowledge of tools, hardware, and repair materials

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders

Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
