Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A veterinary compounding pharmacy in Moulton, AL is seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician on a temp-to-hire basis to support their fast-paced production environment. This role is a replacement opening with an immediate start, focused primarily on non-sterile compounding of veterinary medications and some sterile preparations. The pharmacy ships over 200 prescriptions daily, collaborating closely with a team of 4 pharmacists and multiple pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound veterinary medications with an emphasis on non-sterile, and some sterile, compounding
• Package, label, and prepare prescriptions efficiently for shipment
• Maintain compounding equipment and workspaces in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist pharmacists with daily workflow and production demands
• Follow pharmacy procedures and quality assurance standards rigorously
• Keep accurate documentation and manage inventory as needed
• Support a high-volume compounding operation while ensuring accuracy and quality

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration or certification according to state requirements
• Proven experience in compounding pharmacy, especially non-sterile compounding
• Sterile compounding experience preferred
• PTCB certification preferred but not required
• Veterinary or animal medication compounding experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs precisely
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
• Dependable, self-motivated, and a team player with a solid work ethic

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday with occasional flexibility depending on production volume
