The company is at an exciting inflection as we continue to expand our existing brand portfolio and deepen relationships with new and existing customers. The Master Scheduler plans and coordinates the interaction between sales, design engineering, production, and the shipping functions.

This position is responsible for converting the sales forecast into a forward-looking production capacity plan. In addition, the Master Scheduler is responsible for insuring the coordination of incoming sales orders within the production capacity plan. The Master Scheduler is a key position within the leadership team and is routinely required to work effectively with personnel from production, accounting, engineering, quality, and sales departments. Being able to achieve the desired results without direct supervisory authority is key to the success of this position.

LOCATION: Mostly Onsite – 4251 Turin Dr, Bessemer, AL 35020

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinating with production and purchasing to obtain accurate delivery dates for new sales orders.
• Providing demand and capacity schedule for manpower planning.
• Creating and monitoring forecast versus actual inventory levels.
• Releasing and coordinating internal production work orders to support sales orders.
• Monitoring and auditing internal work order closure process for compliance.
• Determining material availability for production orders.
• Utilizing analysis skills to help resolve inventory discrepancies causing shortages.
• Creating and communicating factory production schedule.
• Driving the timely picking and staging of inventory for production orders by warehouse personnel.
• Managing timely internal work order processing and audit process for compliance.
• Providing support and analysis for cycle counting adjustment and physical inventory activity.
• Providing Disaster preparedness and Emergency Procedures.
• Creating and following ISO type process instructions and procedures.
• Actively enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
• Initiating Corrective Action plans and documenting when required.
• Providing subject matter expertise for software implementations and upgrades.
• Ensuring the highest level of process compliance and accuracy are maintained for all activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

• Minimum of High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor level college degree in business related subject area preferred.
• 3-5 years of production planning and scheduling experience required.
• Experience operating in an ERP system utilizing a work order process.
• Valid Alabama Driver License with satisfactory driving record required.
• History of working within a matrix type of organization.
