Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Proven experience designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Understanding of federal and state regulations related to special education
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and administration
- Ability to create an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment
- Strong organizational and behavior management abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet diverse student abilities
- Foster positive relationships and high expectations for student achievement
- Collaborate with general educators, therapists, and support staff to provide comprehensive services
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and compliance records
- Engage with families to support learning goals and ensure their involvement in the process
