Per Diem School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Millbrook, AL

This role suits dedicated healthcare professionals focused on supporting student growth academically, behaviorally, and socially in a school environment. As a per diem LPN, you will provide individualized attention and assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group academic, behavioral, and social support under the guidance of teachers
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation in the classroom
• Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support student mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years
• Compliance with TB test regulations applicable to the district
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting students when necessary
• Current and clear background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or experience with CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Positive Management Techniques), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) considered an advantage
