**Job Title:** Facilities Maintenance Technician **Location:** Florence, SC **Pay Rate:** $ 33.17/hr **Shift:** Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional weekend overtime if needed) **Contract to Hire** **Summary:** Join a team that values craftsmanship, reliability, and technical skill. This position involves operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across multiple systems - mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and more. If you're someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving and takes ownership of your work, this is a great opportunity to grow with a stable, respected organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform daily maintenance and repair work across mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire/life safety, and control systems. - Handle preventive maintenance, ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently. - Inspect, calibrate, clean, and replace components to keep HVAC and related equipment performing at peak levels. - Record readings, analyze data, and make necessary adjustments for system reliability. - Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. - Maintain a safe, organized work environment and comply with all facility safety policies. - Identify and correct safety hazards before they become issues. - Manage tool inventory and assist with purchasing and maintenance supplies as needed. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent required - 2-4 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing commercial or industrial building systems - Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems with the ability to troubleshoot independently - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic computer applications - EPA 608 Type II certification required - Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement **Preferred:** - EPA 608 Universal certification - Two years of trade schooling in electrical systems, refrigeration, or HVAC **Why You'll Love Working Here:** This role offers more than just a job-it's an opportunity to use your skills to make an impact every day.
