Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school community near Salem, AL. This full-time role allows you to work with a diverse caseload and contribute your expertise to help children reach their full communicative potential during the 2026-2027 academic year.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY), or eligibility
- Experience or clinical training in pediatric and school-based settings
- Comfort working with K-12 students and collaborating as part of an educational team
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Your Role Will Include:
- Evaluating and diagnosing communication disorders
- Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans
- Delivering direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Maintaining thorough records and progress reports
- Attending IEP meetings and supporting compliance with school-based documentation
- Adjusting strategies as needed to meet diverse student needs
You’ll work Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, serving a caseload across the K-12 age range. Specific caseload numbers and additional details will be discussed during the interview to ensure a good fit for your experience and preferences. The contract begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027. This position offers a pay range between $45-$50 per hour, paid weekly.
