Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
- Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and services for children with disabilities
- Proficiency in pediatric/adolescent development and relevant assessments
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
- Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Preferred: ASHA Certification and Alabama licensure (ABSESPA)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct SLP services within schools, assigned based on needs and locations
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with all regulations
