Fabrication Plant Manager

The company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fabrication Plant Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality, on-time production while maintaining safety and budgeted margins. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of high performance through effective communication, coordination, and accountability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and a proven track record of leadership in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and motivate employees to work collaboratively to achieve expected results.
• Hire, train, and manage production personnel to optimize productivity and meet job schedules.
• Maintain facilities, machinery, and equipment for optimal performance within budget constraints.
• Coordinate plant activities to ensure smooth production flows with high machine and labor utilization.
• Identify and propose capital improvements for cost reduction and productivity gains.
• Monitor and report on job progress and costs, making adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and health regulations.
• Act as the first point of contact for unexpected issues requiring leadership intervention.
• Promote a positive reputation with employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial management, or business.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a plant manager, supervisor, or related position.
• At least 15 years of fabrication experience, specifically in an AISC-associated industry.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing heavy machine and fabrication shops.
• Proven track record of labor management and productivity improvement.
• Strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams.
• Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds.
