Job Title: Coating/Paint Technician
Pay: $22–$25/hr
Shift: 1st or 2nd Shift Available
Job Summary
We are seeking a Coating/Paint Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating coating equipment, CNC machines, and robotic systems in a production environment supporting aerospace, nuclear, and industrial applications. The technician will perform development, production, and surface finishing work while maintaining detailed process documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate coating booths to fabricate parts
- Operate robotic systems including Yaskawa Motoman DX100 and NX100 as well as CNC machines
- Perform coating and surface finishing processes
- Record process parameters and production results
- Maintain detailed notes and documentation for current running jobs
- Work independently and prioritize tasks based on production needs
- Adapt to an environment where deadlines frequently change
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards
- Promote and maintain a culture of continuous improvement
- Safely operate metalworking equipment, open flames, and furnaces
- Lift materials and components up to 40 lbs as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college preferred
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or a related industrial environment preferred
- Experience with spray processes, welding, CNC machines, robotics, polishing, or surface finishing is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes accurately
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a production environment
