Job Title: Dishwasher/ Kitchen Utility Worker

Pay: $15.50

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher/ Kitchen utility person to join our kitchen/cafeteria team. This role is crucial in ensuring a clean and sanitary environment for our food preparation and service areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen while adhering to health and safety standards. Responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils. Taking all garbage to compactor, Cleaning hood filters

Key Responsibilities:

• Dishwashing: Efficiently clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers or manual methods as required.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in kitchen work areas, including floors, counters, and storage areas. Ensure that all areas are free of debris and spills.
• Equipment Care: Properly handle and care for kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are in good working condition and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste and recycling materials according to hospital policies and environmental regulations.
• Sanitation: Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment. Follow proper cleaning procedures and use appropriate cleaning agents. Responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils. Taking all garbage to compactor, Cleaning hood filters
• Support: Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, including restocking supplies and helping with basic food preparation.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a background check - will need to get fingerprinted to work in school setting
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed.
• ServSafe preferred but not required
• Must Pass drug screening
