Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift
Temp-to-hire | Full Benefits | Decatur, Alabama

Our client is a trusted contract manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with benefits, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

About the Role
This position offers a balanced blend of leadership and technical expertise, with approximately 70% of your time spent performing hands-on maintenance and 30% focused on supervision and coordination. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring a safe, productive work environment.

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

Lead and support a team of maintenance technicians
Assign and monitor preventive maintenance and repair work orders
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including 480v equipment
Maintain and service CNC machines, lasers, punch presses, turrets, lathes, welding machines, sandblasters, powder coat lines, and overhead doors
Oversee parts sourcing, inventory, and contractor coordination
Maintain accurate documentation and maintenance records
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Communicate progress and operational needs to leadership

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a motivated professional with:

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of supervisory maintenance experience
7+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read schematics, prints, and equipment manuals
Experience with cranes and industrial machinery
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
