MIG or TIG Welder
We are seeking a skilled Welder Pipefitter to join our dynamic team in Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Fabricate and install piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and other issues, making necessary repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Document work performed and report any discrepancies or challenges to management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and pipefitting practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid welding certification is a plus.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments.
