Mechanical Piping Department Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:Supervise, mentor, and train designers and engineers; manage resource allocation and personnel development.
- Project Management:Plan and assign work, develop man-hour estimates, and monitor budget and schedule compliance.
- Technical Authority:Review and approve key deliverables, including piping layouts, piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), stress analyses, and specifications.
- Quality Assurance:Establish work procedures, conduct technical reviews, and perform, checks for accuracy and adherence to codes (ASME, API, etc.).
- Coordination:Collaborate with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and construction teams to ensure design constructability.
- Recruitment:Identify department staffing needs and lead recruitment efforts.

- Experience:10–15+ years in mechanical/piping engineering, with 5+ years in a supervisory or management role.
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Licensure:Professional Engineer (PE) license is frequently required.
- Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of ASME codes (e.g., B31.3), 3D modeling software, and CAD tools.
- Soft Skills:Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
