VP or Director of Engineering

To support our innovative technology and foster continuous growth, we are seeking a dynamic VP or Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team. In this strategic role, you will oversee the development and implementation of our platform's architecture, drive engineering excellence, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will play a crucial role in aligning our technology vision with the company's strategic goals while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a talented team of engineers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and maintenance, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define product roadmaps and prioritize engineering initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices, standards, and metrics to measure team performance and product quality.
• Drive technical innovation and evaluate new technologies that can enhance our platform and improve user experience.
• Participate in high-level planning and execution of engineering projects while managing resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Align engineering efforts with business objectives, ensuring that technology solutions contribute to Transform9’s growth and strategic direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering roles, including 5+ years in leadership positions within the technology or healthcare industry.
• Proven experience in software architecture, design, and development, with a strong understanding of modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks to drive efficient development processes.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
