Job Description

Purpose of Position:

• To repair, install, and adjust all refrigeration equipment. To operate safely and efficiently the ammonia refrigeration system and related equipment according to the plant Process Safety Management Program.

Essential Job Functions:

• Must be at workstation on time with all work apparel clean, sanitized and with all required safety equipment.
• Must obey all safety, USDA, HACCP, and plant rules and regulations.
• Must know shop mathematics, able to interpret drawings and able to use required tools.
• Must be able to work around Anhydrous Ammonia.
• Perform routine mainteance on; Ammonia compressors, air system drying equipment air system controls.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and climb.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
• Must be able to work in a controlled environment.
• Must be able to work in high and confined spaces.
• Must be able to pass Hazmat physical and Pulmonary Test yearly to stay in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
