Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a retail setting with a specialty pharmacy focus in Montgomery, AL. This per diem role offers coverage opportunities on April 9 and from April 28 through May 1, with flexibility to work at both the Montgomery location and the secondary site in Dothan as needed. Ideal for pharmacists seeking dynamic work environments supporting patient health through prescription verification and team management.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and coordinate activities of pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Support operations across both Montgomery and Dothan locations when required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Alabama State Pharmacist license in good standing, with no negative history
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in retail staff pharmacy
- Experience working in fast-paced independent or specialty pharmacy settings
- Ability to effectively manage and lead a pharmacy technician team
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX software is advantageous
Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Closed on Saturdays and Sundays
