Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a valued role as a Speech Language Pathologist, supporting elementary-age students for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract position involves both on-site and virtual opportunities, working with kindergarten through fifth grade at multiple elementary campuses in the Semmes, Alabama area. Collaborate with school staff to foster communication growth and make a meaningful difference every day.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active registration with the Board of Speech Examiners (proof of licensure required upon hiring)
- Experience in school-based settings with K–5th grade populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable with both on-site and virtual (VOCO) service delivery models
- Previous experience managing multiple school assignments preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments, therapy, and intervention services for students aged K–5th grade
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Work closely with educators, families, and other service providers to support student progress
- Maintain timely and compliant documentation for student records and IEP meetings
- Manage a varied caseload across several assigned elementary schools
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
- Utilize both in-person and VOCO teletherapy methods, as assigned
