Circular Services is the largest privately held recycling and organics service provider in the U.S. It operates over 25 facilities serving major long-term municipal and commercial contracts. Job Summary:
The Plant Manager oversees all daily operations of the facility, ensuring business activities are well-coordinated, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals. This role is responsible for managing operational procedures, optimizing productivity, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and coaching team members to achieve peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervisors to make operational decisions and establish strategic goals.
- Plan and oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Supervise and support staff across multiple departments, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Review financial performance and adjust operational budgets to maximize profitability.
- Develop, revise, and implement policies to improve operational effectiveness.
- Manage relationships and agreements with external partners and vendors.
- Advise plant supervisors on labor-related matters, including safety, security, employee relations, and training.
- Ensure compliance with company policies in Safety, Health, Environment, and Community, as well as a working knowledge of OSHA and applicable regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience managing manufacturing, production, or plant operations.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methods.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills in diverse, fast-paced environments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills, with the ability to follow written procedures and protocols.
- Proficiency in English; Spanish strongly preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on manufacturing or operations experience may substitute.

- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.
- Frequent exposure to high, precarious places and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
