The Shop Lock Lead is responsible for overseeing daily lock shop operations, managing inventory, coordinating work orders, and leading a team of locksmiths or technicians.

Shop Lock Lead Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $18.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 02:30pm )

Supervise and support shop locksmiths/technicians in daily tasks

Assign and prioritize work orders, ensuring deadlines are met

Perform advanced lock installation, repair, rekeying, and key cutting

Oversee master key systems and access control hardware

Maintain accurate inventory of locks, keys, hardware, and supplies

Coordinate with facilities, security, or property management teams

Ensure compliance with safety policies and security procedures

Train new staff and provide ongoing skill development

Troubleshoot complex locking systems and resolve escalated issues

Maintain documentation for key control and lock records

Shop Lock Lead Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)

3+ years of locksmith or related experience

Experience with commercial locking systems and master key systems

Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic lock systems

Ability to read blueprints and hardware schedules

Valid driver’s license (if field work required)
