Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification, working onsite in a K-12 school setting located in Columbia, AL. The role involves supporting a caseload of approximately 50 students across a single building campus, with one student located at the high school. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLP to make a meaningful impact on student communication skills in a dynamic educational environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintaining detailed records of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress notes
- Participating in meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams for student success
Desired qualifications:
- Valid CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) credential
- Experience working with children across K-12 grade levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for working with students and school staff
