Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician supporting daily operations within a regional analytical laboratory. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on laboratory experience while contributing to product quality, data integrity, and operational excellence.
Job Description
- Perform routine laboratory support tasks under direct supervision, including: Sample receipt, labeling, preparation, and pre-analysis handling, Solution preparation, weighing, and basic bench work, Sample storage, retention, and disposal activities
- Support routine laboratory testing activities in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
- Assist with maintaining laboratory readiness and workflow efficiency.
- Develop a foundational understanding of laboratory instrumentation and analytical processes.
- Accurately document laboratory activities in notebooks, logs, spreadsheets, and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Enter sample and test data into laboratory databases and verify information for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of sample information, testing activities, and laboratory operations.
- Assist with inventory management activities, including: Restocking laboratory consumables, Tracking supplies and materials, Assisting with inventory counts and ordering processes
- Help maintain laboratory equipment through basic cleaning, inspections, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Ensure laboratory workspaces and storage areas remain organized and operational.
- Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities and audits as directed.
- Perform risk assessments before assigned tasks to identify and mitigate safety and quality concerns.
- Participate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and quality initiatives.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all laboratory safety policies and procedures.
- Shift: Monday - Friday 40hr work week with some overtime. 8-5 or 7-4 w/1hr lunch
Skills Required
- Less than two years of laboratory, technical, or related work experience.
- Interest in laboratory operations and willingness to learn technical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment, techniques, or procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency, including: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with data entry and recordkeeping.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Education
- Required: Hi gh school diploma or GED
- Preferred: Coursework or hands-on experience in a scientific environment, including: High school chemistry, Technical school programs, College laboratory courses
Additional requirements
- Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals, laboratory equipment, and analytical processes.
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and handling laboratory materials throughout the workday.
- Use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures is required at all times.

Pay rate
- $21 - $23 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
