Salary:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reception Management -
- Open and close dental office according to office protocol
- Check the daily schedule for accuracy and provide schedule to dental team as appropriate
- Answer, respond to, and make telephone calls with professionalism
Patient Management -
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice
- Check in patients, verifying and updating health information
- Verify patient insurance and maintain insurance accuracy
- Make and confirm appointments for patients
- Collect payment from patients at time of treatment
- Schedule follow-up appointments as directed
- Arrange referral appointments and manage communications with specialty offices
- Present treatment plans and associated fees to patients
- As needed, schedule and manage recalls accurately in the patient system
- Manage daily, weekly and monthly patient communication
Records Management -
- Gather and accurately record dental, medical and insurance information from patients
- Ensure records are stored securely and handled in compliance with legal requirements, including HIPAA regulations
- Make sure all routers and paperwork are scanned under the correct patients file
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience -
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Insurance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of computers for word processing, scheduling, insurance claims processing and records management
- Ability to use/learn current dental software programs
Interpersonal -
- Positive Attitude
- Effective interpersonal skills to maintain good rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members, and community
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
