Security Officer

HD Hyundai Power Transformers is now seeking observant and responsible security guards to add to our team. In this role, it will be your job to ensure the safety of our team and guest.

As onsite HD-HPT security you would be responsible for ensuring the safety of our clients’ property as one of our in-house team member security guards.

Providing security with polite and personal communications is a essential function of the position.

Your main task will be to follow post instructions. Protect team members ,guest, and company assets. Walking patrols are required in some duty aspects.

On-time and daily attendance is a basic requirement for this most responsible positions.

You will set provide security controls, monitor access to the property, and investigate instances of suspicious behavior. When a security issue arises, you will respond to it based on the training you receive and our company’s policies.

This role requires an security office to be highly observant and capable of accurately assessing the severity of each situation.

Professional must have a professionals demeanor that remain calm under pressure.

An Alabama pistol permit and a weapons training certification, or the ability to receive a weapons certification is required.

This position may be subject to physiological personality testing.

Physical ability to lift 25 pounds and walk one mile if need be is an essential function of the position.

Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.

HD-HPT is a EOC employer.

Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Patrol designated areas to keep them safe and secure.
• Greet and check in visitors to the property.
• Monitor surveillance cameras.
• Communicate with local law enforcement organizations.
• Investigate and respond to suspicious behavior.
• Monitor public access to our clients’ spaces.
• Prepare and send daily reports.
• Maintain visitor log.
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
• Treat all guests with respect.

Security Guard Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role is strongly preferred.
• Excellent observational and surveillance skills.
• Ability to remain calm in the face of chaotic situations.
• Knowledge of all state and local laws.
