As a Software Engineering Director within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the implementation and delivery of technical initiatives, ensuring that strategic technology plans are effectively executed, aligning with business goals by managing teams, budgets, and project timelines to deliver targeted strategic and financial outcomes to the Legal, Audit, and Corporate Responsibility technology portfolios. Key initiatives and preferred qualifications for this role: -Strategic Planning: Defining initiative scope, goals, and milestones, developing detailed project plans and identifying critical dependencies across different teams. -Cross-functional Collaboration: Using a consultative approach, leading and facilitating communication between teams, product management, design, quality assurance, and other LOB stakeholders to ensure alignment on program objectives. -Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to proactively address issues that could impact project timelines and deliverables. -Resource Management: Allocating and managing project resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and technology. -Process Tracking: Monitoring project progress against key metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and taking corrective actions to maintain project momentum. -Reporting and Communication: Regularly communicate program status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations. -Technical Expertise: Possessing an understanding of relevant technologies and development methodologies to make informed decisions regarding technical feasibility and trade-offs. -Quality Assurance: Ensuring quality standards are met throughout the development process through rigorous testing and quality checks. -Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion. -Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
