Operations Assistant Job Description

Position: Operations Assistant Commercial, Residential, and Warehouse Support
Pay Range: $15.00 $17.00 (based on experience and qualifications)

Summary

The Operations Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the company across commercial installation, residential installation/service, and warehouse functions. This role is responsible for providing hands-on support to field crews and warehouse staff, ensuring efficiency, safety, and smooth workflow. The Operations Assistant plays a key role in staging, logistics, and general labor tasks that keep projects and daily schedules on track.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Garage Door Support

• Assist commercial installers with staging, loading, and transporting materials and tools.
• Provide on-site support during installation and service of rolling steel, sectional, and specialty doors.
• Handle general labor tasks including site cleanup, material movement, and equipment setup.
• Follow direction from commercial leads and supervisors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Residential Garage Door Support

• Assist residential crews with loading, staging, and job site preparation.
• Support installation and service of sectional doors, openers, and accessories.
• Carry materials, hold panels, and assist with measurements and alignments as directed.
• Maintain professionalism and positive customer interactions while representing the company on-site.

Warehouse Duties

• Load and unload deliveries, verifying product accuracy and condition.
• Stage jobs and assist in truck loading for daily routes.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Receive, stock, and record materials accurately in company systems.
• Safely handle and move heavy equipment, doors, and springs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior construction, warehouse, or mechanical experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and work at heights.
• Valid drivers license preferred; must be insurable under company policy.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Must follow all company safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
