Tree Climber

Gray’s Tree Service, a trusted provider of tree care services for over 25 years in central Alabama and the Southeastern United States, is seeking motivated and safety-focused Climbers to join our growing team. As a Climber, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of trees for our clients, working both independently and as part of a crew. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, problem-solving, and making quick decisions under pressure. Responsibilities

• Climb trees to perform pruning, removals, and other tree care services.
• Operate and maintain climbing gear, chainsaws, and rigging equipment safely.
• Assess tree health and stability, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
• Apply proper pruning techniques to enhance tree health and appearance.
• Remove hazardous branches and trees while minimizing risks to people and property.
• Work closely with the ground crew to ensure efficient and safe debris removal.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with company policies.
• Communicate professionally with clients, offering expert advice on tree care.

Qualifications

• Experience in tree climbing, pruning, and removals.
• Knowledge of tree species, health assessments, and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate and maintain tree care tools and equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• ISA Certification (preferred, but not required).
