We are hiring an experienced Pipelayer (Gravity Sewer & Water) in Mobile, AL for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity working the day shift, Monday through Friday . This role focuses on underground utility construction , including gravity sewer, storm drain, and water line installation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with grade and slope alignment, trench safety, blueprint reading, and pipe installation in a heavy civil construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install and align gravity sewer, storm drain, and water lines
• Work with lasers, levels, and grade rods for proper alignment
• Install manholes, catch basins, and underground structures
• Assist excavation operators with trench depth and alignment
• Follow OSHA trench safety and shoring requirements
• Backfill and compact soil

Requirements (MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE):

• Proven hands-on experience as a pipelayer (sewer, water, or storm drain)
• Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and grade specs
• Experience with pipe lasers, levels, and cutting tools
• Comfortable working in trenches and outdoor conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Important: This role requires prior pipelaying experience . Applicants without direct underground utility experience will not be considered.
