responsibility.Your Mission is Ours.Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will Work with a diverse work force responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of mechanical ground support equipment.
Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable, and producible engineering designs.
Collaborate with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of :
Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Techniques
Collaboration
Attention to Detail
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a Mechanical engineer or related discipline. Entry level.- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis.- Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (Creo, I-DEAS, etc.).- Candidate must have good oral, written, and presentation communication skills.US citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Candidate must have the ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
- Knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical and structural systems.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
