Alliance Global Solutions is seeking a motivated Underground Fiber Drop Technician to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role is essential in supporting our customers by burying and/or boring underground fiber drop cables to residential, multi-family, and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

• Install and bury fiber drops in accordance with market specifications

• Identify and avoid located utilities to prevent damages

• Locate unmarked utilities and customer equipment (e.g., dog fences, irrigation systems)

• Restore jobsites to original condition after work completion

• Ensure all work is completed safely and with quality standards

• Accept responsibility for any damages incurred

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Drop Bury or related experience (required)

• Must live within 30 miles of Huntsville, AL

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with exposure to dust, temperature changes, and noise

• Physically able to stand for long periods, climb ladders, work in crawl spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong communication skills (verbal & written)

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexible schedule; ability to work overtime as needed

• Must have:

  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record (required)

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check & drug screen (required)

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $23 per hour

• Schedule: 5–6 days per week, 8–10 hour shifts (subject to change)
