About the Role:
The Night Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant and kitchen during overnight hours. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant and kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of service, safety, and cleanliness. The Night Manager acts as the primary point of contact for staff and guests during the night shift, resolving any issues promptly and professionally. They ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while managing inventory and coordinating with suppliers as needed. Ultimately, the Night Manager contributes to delivering an exceptional guest experience and supports the overall success of the accommodation and food services establishment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in restaurant and kitchen operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure during night hours.
- Basic proficiency with inventory management and scheduling software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in food safety management or hospitality management.
- Experience working in accommodation and food services industry during night shifts.
- Leadership training or management certification.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and kitchen display systems.
- First aid and emergency response training.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant and kitchen activities during the night shift to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage and support night staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and emergencies promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders as necessary, and manage waste to optimize cost control.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on nightly operations, incidents, and staff performance to senior management.
