Felder Services is currently accepting applications for a Dietary Supervisor within a long-term care facility, Parkwood Health Care in Phenix City, AL, specializing in geriatrics. Qualifications:
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety guidelines
- Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and meal preparation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and work well with a team
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Reliable transportation required
- Full-time position
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervising and coordinating daily kitchen operations and dietary staff
- Ensuring meals are prepared and served according to facility standards, diet orders, and safety guidelines
- Maintaining compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations regarding food service and sanitation
- Assisting with meal preparation and cooking as needed
- Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and monitoring food costs
- Training and supporting dietary staff to ensure quality service and teamwork
- Ensuring proper cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
- Staying current on facility procedures, protocols, and state regulations
