If you are a passionate Maths educator with a commitment to excellence and a desire to shape the next generation of confident, able, and responsible young people, we would be delighted to hear from you.The Role Job Title: Maths Teacher Reporting to: Head of MathsTeaching & Learning• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the National Curriculum for England across assigned Senior year groups.• Deliver lessons that emphasise mathematical accuracy, clarity of explanation, and effective modelling of methods.• Use a range of pedagogical approaches, including retrieval practice, variation theory and structured problem-solving.• Design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons that challenge and support learners.• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, using data to inform planning and interventions.Curriculum & Resource Development• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum, resources, and schemes of work.• Ensure that lessons are aligned with departmental goals, KHDA expectations, and the school’s academic vision.• Support Maths across the curriculum and collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular initiatives.Student Development• Support consistency in teaching approaches, notation, and mathematical language across the department.• Provide feedback and support to students to enhance academic outcomes and personal growth.• Encourage participation in Maths-related enrichment activitiesProfessional Engagement• Work collaboratively with department and school colleagues to promote best practices and drive student achievement.• Participate in CPD opportunities and school development initiatives.• Build strong partnerships with parents and the wider QE school community.Compliance & Safeguarding• Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, and student progress.• Adhere to the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.• Support the school’s commitment to the UAE National Agenda and KHDA requirementsThe PersonQualifications and Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent).• Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Maths, ideally within a British or international curriculum setting.• Experience teaching IGCSE Mathematics; A-level experience preferred.Personal Qualities• Deep knowledge and passion for Mathematics.• Strong classroom management and communication skills.• Ability to differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs, including EAL students.• Culturally responsive, open-minded, and committed to inclusive education.Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City is an equal opportunities employer and is deeply committed to safeguarding our students, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
