As an experienced Special Education Teacher, you will collaborate closely with faculty and staff to create inclusive learning opportunities that empower students to reach their highest potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and respectful classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement instructional activities for students with a variety of learning differences
- Write, review, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to accommodate individual learning styles
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
