Senior Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities

• Verify the quality and dimensions of machined parts using precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, ID mics, and portable coordinate measuring machines (e.g., FARO).
• Ensure all components comply with contract and specification requirements by conducting thorough inspections.
• Develop and implement inspection plans for large-scale or complex geometry parts as needed.
• Assess incoming and received materials to confirm they meet customer standards and engineering drawings.
• Generate and submit computer-based inspection reports to document conformance to requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to provide solutions for quality-related concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Occasionally travel for training, on-site inspections, or to support other facilities as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in machinery component inspection or a machine tool environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Advanced skills in using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, gages, and tape measures.
• Experience with metrology equipment (e.g., FARO, 3D scanning, CMM) is a plus.
• Nondestructive testing (NDT) experience or certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
