Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Clinical Services (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading nursing staff to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Clinical Services with management of the nursing department
- Support compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations, including documentation standards
- Make daily rounds to direct staff, identify concerns, and ensure quality care delivery
- Assist with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and follow-up actions
- Monitor units to ensure changes in patient status are properly reported and documented
- Complete chart audits, track trends, and recommend improvements
- Ensure proper infection control practices are followed
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and staff
- Support staffing, training, and overall team performance
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Alabama (required)
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience (long-term care or geriatric experience preferred)
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process
- Ability to organize, plan, and manage clinical operations and personnel
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
