Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Clinical Services (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading nursing staff to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist the Director of Clinical Services with management of the nursing department
2. Support compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations, including documentation standards
3. Make daily rounds to direct staff, identify concerns, and ensure quality care delivery
4. Assist with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and follow-up actions
5. Monitor units to ensure changes in patient status are properly reported and documented
6. Complete chart audits, track trends, and recommend improvements
7. Ensure proper infection control practices are followed
8. Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and staff
9. Support staffing, training, and overall team performance

Qualifications

1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Alabama (required)
2. Minimum 3 years nursing experience (long-term care or geriatric experience preferred)
3. At least 1 year of supervisory experience required
4. Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process
5. Ability to organize, plan, and manage clinical operations and personnel
6. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
