Work Shift

Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is seeking a certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our busy Cardiology practice in Douglasville, GA.

The Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia. The Center includes 11 hospitals and 30 office locations throughout metro Atlanta. Our 90+ physicians and 85+ APPs provide care for the entire spectrum of cardiac patients (surgery, structural heart, advanced heart failure, EP, advanced imaging, complex intervention, ECMO, and research).

Job Responsibilities and Details:

Manage and coordinate the healthcare of cardiology patients, in an inpatient setting at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, located approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, GA.

This is a WEEKEND DAYS position.

• Collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
• Perform admissions, transfers and discharges for the cardiology patients.
• Actively participate in the daily medical management of patients.
• Become thoroughly competent in all aspects of stress testing.
• Document, maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC). Other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by lead provider and operations team.
• Ideal candidates will have some inpatient and cardiology experience, be a team player, and able to work autonomously as needed.
