A veterinary compounding pharmacy in Vinemont, AL is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support their fast-paced, production-focused operation. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated team of pharmacists and technicians producing over 200 prescriptions daily. The pharmacy specializes in primarily non-sterile compounding with some sterile preparations, focusing on high-quality veterinary medications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound veterinary medications, mainly non-sterile with some sterile compounding
• Package, label, and prepare prescriptions for shipment accurately and efficiently
• Maintain compounding equipment and work areas according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist pharmacists with daily production workflows and operational needs
• Adhere to pharmacy procedures and quality assurance standards
• Keep detailed documentation and manage inventory as required
• Support a high-volume compounding environment while ensuring precision and safety

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration or certification meeting state requirements
• Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy setting required
• Proficiency in non-sterile compounding required; sterile compounding experience is preferred
• PTCB certification is preferred but not mandatory
• Veterinary or animal compounding experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs meticulously
• Ability to thrive in a high-production environment and adapt quickly to new processes
• Dependable, self-motivated, and collaborative work ethic

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday with occasional flexibility depending on production demands
