What We Look For In a TEAS Tutor

• Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of TEAS test sections including Reading covering key ideas, craft and structure, and integration of knowledge, Mathematics covering numbers, algebra, measurement, and data, Science covering human anatomy and physiology, life science, earth science, and physical science, and English and Language Usage. Ability to explain scoring and nursing program admission requirements.
• Strategic Test-Taking & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching reading passage analysis, multi-step math problem solving, anatomy and physiology review, and grammar rule application for TEAS. Guides students through interpreting scientific data, converting measurement units, solving algebraic equations, analyzing sentence structure, and managing time across four test sections. Emphasizes targeting science and math sections where most nursing program applicants seek improvement.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with TEAS test content and common challenges such as anatomy and physiology knowledge gaps, algebraic word problems, and reading comprehension of scientific passages. Adapts instruction using ATI official TEAS practice materials, anatomy review guides, and diagnostic assessments to support nursing school applicants seeking competitive scores for program admission.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
