About the Role:
The Facilities Maintenance I position is essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing plant located in 3571 Stanwood, A3571. This role focuses on performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the longevity and reliability of facility infrastructure by proactively identifying issues and implementing effective solutions. Collaboration with other departments to support production schedules and facility upgrades is a key aspect of this role. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in supporting the overall productivity and safety standards of our non-durable goods manufacturing operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Experience with HVAC system maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Basic welding or carpentry skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the facility.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to restore operations quickly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to ensure compliance and efficient resource management.
- Collaborate with team members and external contractors to complete larger repair projects and facility improvements.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Skills:
The required skills enable the candidate to effectively perform daily maintenance tasks, including diagnosing and repairing equipment issues to minimize production interruptions. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential for identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions. The ability to read technical documents and schematics supports accurate maintenance and repair work. Preferred skills such as HVAC knowledge and experience with CMMS enhance the candidate's capability to manage complex systems and maintain detailed maintenance records. Additionally, familiarity with safety standards ensures that all work is conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting a safe workplace for all employees.
