Buyer
Long term Contract
Mobile, AL We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer to join our procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing materials, goods, and services necessary to support business operations. This role plays a critical part in managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products.Key responsibilities
- Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Track and manage supplier performance, addressing quality or delivery issues as they arise
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports for management review
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and project teams to align purchasing with business needs
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, budgets, and applicable regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in ERP or procurement software (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in construction, energy, or industrial procurement
- CPM or CPSM certification
- Familiarity with contract law and terms and conditions
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics
- Experience with bid analysis and RFQ/RFP processes
