Job Summary

DNT is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Manufacturing Sales Engineer to support both inside and outside sales efforts. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, providing technical expertise and supporting engineered solutions for electric arc furnace applications. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge with strong sales and relationship-building skills and is comfortable traveling throughout the Southeast region. This position reports directly to the Owner of the company.

Key Responsibilities

*Perform inside and outside sales activities for prospective and existing customers

* Identify, pursue and acquire new business opportunities with new customers

*Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service and value

*Conduct site surveys to assess current operations and identify future customer needs

*Provide technical advice and product recommendations tailored to each customer's application

*Develop project estimates and customer quotations

*Coordinate production scheduling to meet customer and project requirements

*Support the engineering and application of components used in electric arc furnaces

*Act as a technical liaison between customers, engineering and internal teams

*Maintain accurate sales documentation, customer records and project details

*Travel throughout the Southeast region approximately 50% of the time primarily

consisting of day trips with the occasional overnight stay.

Required Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Field or equivalent industry experience

* Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the steel industry

*Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand engineered industrial components

*Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships

*Excellent communication and presentation skills

*Strong organizational, problem-solving and time-management abilities

*Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

*Experience in technical sales or sales engineering

*Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments

*Experience with electric arc furnaces, steel production or heavy industrial equipment

*CRM or sales management software experience
