The Shipping and Handling Coordinator is responsible for the accurate, safe, and efficient movement of finished steel products and materials. This position ensures customer orders are prepared, loaded, documented, and shipped according to company standards while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production schedules.

Shipping & Handling Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $18.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• First Shift ( Monday through Thursday from 06:00am to 04:30pm )

• Prepare, verify, and process customer shipments.
• Review shipping documents for accuracy, including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery paperwork.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Load and unload steel products using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment. Inspect outgoing shipments for quality, quantity, and damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update shipping information in company systems.
• Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and securement of materials for transportation.

Shipping & Handling Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or steel fabrication preferred.
• Experience 3 years operating forklifts and able to operate forklift lifting up to 12,OOO Lb. lifts.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or shipping software.
• Ability to read shipping documents, work orders, and production schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
