Compensation: $63.00
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote

Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering services and field support
• Conduct preparation of designs and calculations
• Conduct site walk downs of construction sites
• Develop cost estimates and material takeoffs
• Provide schedule and staffing input for projects
• Produce and check structural steel design calculations and drawings

Requirements

• 30+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience or accredited bachelor’s & master’s degree in engineering and professional engineering license
• Detailed knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles and industry methodologies
• Significant structural steel connection design experience
• Proficiency with structural codes and standards
• Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial structures and components
• Strong computer skills
• Proficiency with structural computer programs such as STAAD PRO
• Proficiency with OSHA regulation
• Able to coordinate and manage multiple large scale, multi-discipline projects
• Able to perform structural inspections and provide written reports
• Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
• Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors
