Job Summary: The Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control Associate at Sun Test Systems is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations related to inbound and outbound shipments, inventory management, and material handling. This role ensures the accuracy, condition, and timely movement of goods by coordinating shipping priorities, inspecting equipment and loading operations, and maintaining compliance with legal and contractual requirements. The associate maintains inventory records, shipping documents, requisitions, and contributes to a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper condition of shipments.
  • Determines shipping priorities, methods, and schedules based on shipping notices, orders, and other records.
  • Directs the movement of shipments from the shipping/receiving platform to storage or work areas.
  • Prepares and reviews bills of lading, shipping charges, and routing information to ensure compliance with legal load limits and delivery schedules.
  • Inspect loading operations and seals truck or boxcar doors after loading to meet shipping specifications.
  • Compiles and maintains inventory, shipping, and purchasing records using information from contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and requisitions.
  • Maintains records of unfilled and back-ordered items; releases back orders as inventory becomes available.
  • Prepare requisitions and orders for new or additional stock items.
  • Posts shipping weights, costs, and preparing related documentation.
  • Compiles reports and documentation for internal and external use.
  • Inspects material handling equipment for defects and ensures timely maintenance or repair, including vehicle maintenance tracking.
  • Determines space and layout for shipments in trucks and boxcars to ensure efficient and secure transport.
  • Maintains harmony among workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal ability to work in the US and meet any other federal program requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Forklift Certified is preferred

Required Education and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience in hydraulics or fluid power and motor controls/implementation for process measurements is a plus.
