Special Education Teacher – Northport, AL
A school district in the Northport, Alabama area is hiring a passionate Special Education Teachers for full-time, school-based positions. Join a collaborative team dedicated to helping students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success in a supportive learning environment.
Position Highlights:
Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Elementary through High School caseload
School-based contract
Collaborative special education team
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement IEPs
Deliver individualized instruction
Adapt curriculum to meet student needs
Track student progress and maintain documentation
Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers
Attend IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
Active Alabama Special Education teaching certification
School-based experience preferred
Strong communication and classroom management skills
