A retail pharmacist opportunity is available providing per diem coverage at two specialty pharmacy locations in Alabama, including Montgomery and Dothan. This position requires flexibility to work at both locations as needed during the assignment period. The role focuses on prescription verification and managing pharmacy technicians in a busy, independent specialty pharmacy setting.
Location: Montgomery and Dothan, AL
Schedule:
- Per diem coverage on April 9 and April 28 through May 1
- Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday Thursday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Manage and oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal workflow and compliance
- Support daily operations in a fast-paced specialty pharmacy environment
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama State Pharmacist License with no negative history
- Minimum 2 years recent experience as a retail staff pharmacist
- Experience working in busy retail or specialty pharmacy settings
- Ability to work at multiple locations, including Montgomery and Dothan
- Experience with PioneerRX pharmacy software is a plus but not required
- Leadership skills to effectively manage a small team of pharmacy technicians
