Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist with hands-on expertise operating and programming Haas-brand CNC machines. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who can handle frequent product changes, work from technical drawings, and consistently maintain tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines in the Haas family (VF, ST, or similar models)
- Load tools, set offsets, establish zero points, and adjust feeds and speeds as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Modify or create CNC programs (G-code) at the machine or using CAM software
- Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, materials, or program errors
- Maintain equipment and work area according to safety and maintenance protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience operating and programming Haas CNC machines
- Strong understanding of G-code and ability to make program edits at the machine
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances
- Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision inspection tools
- Comfortable working in a job-shop environment with changing product types
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining preferred
