What You'll Be Doing:

• Performing detailed patient assessments, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
• Educating patients and their families about prevention strategies, wellness initiatives, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your licensed scope of practice
• Involving yourself in patient follow-ups and navigating chronic care management seamlessly
• Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive, patient-focused care
• Diligently documenting patient interactions and care plans using electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
• Successful graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular
• Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or eligibility to obtain within 90 days)
