Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed to support elementary-aged students in a school setting located in Harvest, AL. This contract position offers a full-time schedule with 37.5 hours per week across five days, starting as soon as possible.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working in schools, preferably in special education
- Valid licensure for Special Education, covering either K-6 or PK-3 age ranges
- Passion for creating inclusive learning environments for elementary students
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies
- Monitor and document student progress regularly
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
Location and Hours:
- Position based in Harvest, AL
- Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
